Robert Falcon Scott's own photographs from his ill-fated Antarctic expedition have now been published.   It apparently took almost a century to get the legal issues surrounding them straightened out. http://www.guardian.co.uk/uk/2011/oct/06/scott-antarctic-photographs-books-published

The news has just been released that Bert Jansch, one of Al's contemporaries from the early days, has passed away. http://www.npr.org/templates/story/story.php?storyId=141076370 -- Kim

Just a reminder folks ... do not dawdle when you see an Al Stewart show in your area.  Do NOT count on being able to walk up an buy tickets the night of.  I just heard the tickets went on sale for the Al show in Michigan in March 2012 two days ago, and they are selling briskly already.  In all the years I've been following Al's career I've seen a LOT of sold out shows, and disappointed fans standing outside in the rain.

I was just chatting with other Al fans about being a  "completest".  This can get very dangerous if you are an Al fan, as you can quickly get sucked into collecting those people "associated" with Al in one way or another.  Not just Dave N., Laurence J. and Peter W. either. A drummer/percussionist that worked with Al for a while is now working with Elton John, for example.  Tori Amos worked with Al before she became world famous on her own.  The list goes on, and it can be scary.
